CINAHL (Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature) is an excellent resource for finding qualitative research in the health sciences. Like in MEDLINE, you can choose subject headings, combine them with keyword terms, and build up a search strategy line by line. The guided exercise and video tutorials below show you how.
CINAHL and Medline have a lot of overlap in the journals they include. In addition to journal articles, CINAHL includes book chapters, dissertations, and conference presentations. It is a good source for literature on maternal and child health, and patient perspectives on health care. Another EBSCO database, PsycInfo, works similarly to CINAHL.
