Evidence Summaries

Evidence summary or evidence synthesis sources, some of which are also called point of care tools, are a great starting point for learning what's already known on a health topic. Some of them are quite concise, such as:

 

Others base their recommendations on a lengthy synthesis of existing research from the journal literature and guidelines, and cover a wider variety of conditions. Both Dynamed and BMJ Best Practice are available as mobile apps for UBC researchers.
