There are several ways for hospital staff to access research tools, including through UBC Library. Note, however, that access to UBC's e-resources require you to visit a UBC Branch Library.
Non-UBC staff at St. Paul's, BC Children's and Women's, VGH, and UBC Teaching Hospitals can apply for an Affiliated Hospital Staff Card, allowing them to borrow books and use Document Delivery and InterLibrary Loan services. The Electronic Health Library of BC (e-HLbc) is a consortium which provides access to selected online health knowledge resources (databases, indexes, abstracts and full-text journals). Click here to see if your institution or association is a member. Many organizations access eHLbc through their intranet.
