The British Columbia Music Educators' Association is a Provincial Specialist Association of the B.C. Teachers' Federation. Members are music educators in British Columbia, Canada as well as others with an interest in music education.
The British Forum for Ethnomusicology (BFE) aims to advance the study, practice, documentation, preservation and dissemination of traditional music and dance, including folk, popular, classical, urban, and other genres, of all countries.
The International Association for the Study of Popular Music (IASPM) is an international organization established to promote inquiry, scholarship and analysis in the area of popular music. Founded in 1981, IASPM has grown into an international network. On national and international levels, the organization’s activities include conferences, publications and research projects designed to advance an understanding of popular music and the processes involved in its production and consumption.
The Society for Seventeenth-Century Music is dedicated to the study and performance of seventeenth-century music and related arts. The Society currently includes more than 250 members and over two hundred additional international subscribers to its electronic newslist.
