First Nations and Indigenous Art

Getting Started

This guide provides resources, including print books and ebooks, article databases, images, streaming media, and digital resources, on topics related to First Nations and Indigenous visual and material culture.

Focus is centred on art and artists from across Turtle Island -- a name for the continent of North America that comes from numerous Indigenous oral histories -- and beyond, with particular attention to art and artists of the Pacific Northwest / Northwest Coast.
