What is that Wildflower?!

Ever wonder what's the name of that five-petaled purple flower you see every May?* Wondering what is in bloom right now on your favourite walks? Join us in this hands-on workshop to identify the plants you've seen in your area, and anywhere in North America, using Wildflower Search. As part of national Science Literacy Week, Sept 21-27, we will be exploring this open access, free tool. We invite UBC students, community members and children to this all ages workshop. This online event is free and open to everyone.

No prework is needed, but if you have a particular plant in mind that you'd like to know the name of, it's a good idea to take a picture of it before the workshop so you have something on hand to refer to.

Presented by Saeyong Kim, Korean Studies and Medical Librarian UBC Library and Katherine Miller, Faculty of Land and Food Systems and Nursing Librarian
