The Korean-Canadian Heritage Archives Project aims to create a comprehensive Korean-Canadian online information hub for materials relating to Korean-Canadian culture and history.
The scope of this project is not limited to a particular subject matter or temporal period either. The content can span from contemporary to the earliest Korean-Canadian settlement history of Korean seminary students arriving to Canada in the late 1940s. The subject matter can also vary between anything from women’s poetry to master theses on health issues – as long as it is authored by a ‘Korean-Canadian’ (as per the definition adopted above) and/or relates to Korean-Canadians.
This project still remains in its initial stages, and its scope may be narrowed based on available resources and/or relevant demand.
