Community Engaged Research

The Innovation Library is a place for UBC staff, students, and community members in the Okanagan to access many UBC Library resources and research help.

The CE Office is one of a number of entities on the Okanagan campus that drive community-university engagement. The office operates independently and collaborates with University Relations experts in media relations, social media, graphic design to execute event plans.

We believe learning and exploration shouldn’t be limited to our campus, but should be a collaborative, knowledge-sharing activity with the world around us.

The Institute for Community Engaged Research (ICER) is an academic research centre located at the University of British Columbia’s Okanagan campus in Kelowna, BC, Canada. Sharing a commitment to research that supports diversity, equity, and social justice, the Institute facilitates the participation of community members, organizations, students, and academics as co-researchers. ICER is a hub for building relationships, collaboration, and effective knowledge creation and exchange.

The Faculty of Health and Social Development is dedicated to engaging professionals, academics, and community members with the aim to build strong relationships between communities and UBC. This strategy is a core of the faculty’s mission and foundational to excellent teaching, learning and research in our three schools. The Faculty actively seek out partnership opportunities with community organizations, not-for-profits, and academic institutions.
