Coverage includes music written from the earliest times (e.g. Gregorian Chant) to the present, including many contemporary composers. Repertoire ranges from vocal and choral music, to chamber, orchestral, solo instrumental, and opera.


From folk to opera, Native American to jazz, 19th century classical to early rock, musical theater, contemporary, electronic and beyond.  The collection contains nearly 2,300 albums worth of recordings from a distinctive set of 15 independent labels.

An invaluable resource for jazz enthusiasts, Naxos Music Library - Jazz (NMLJ) holds the recordings of over 32,000 artists from over 200 labels.

Naxos Music Library World

A streaming music database that includes the complete Smithsonian Folkways Recordings as well as holdings from Sony, Arc and Naxos World; representing over 1,500 cultural groups and 150 countries.

Naxos Spoken Word Library

Streaming access to over 400 audio books, comprising over 1,100 works and stories. Categories range from classic fiction to Shakespeare to selected children's works.
