Finding Books

This guide aims to provide information about finding books at UBC Library, primarily using the Library catalogue.

Books on Course Reserve

Course reserves are learning materials from the library's collection that instructors require for their courses.

If a book is on course reserve, the catalogue record will list it as being in a reserve collection. The record will also indicate which library branch's reserve collection you can find the book at.

You can borrow course reserve books by asking at the library circulation desk. Please note that borrowing privileges for books on course reserve are limited to current UBC faculty and students. For more information about using books on course reserve, visit our Using Course Reserves guide.
