There are a number of professional journals and magazines for teachers in which you can find lesson and activity ideas and other information to inform lesson design:

DynaMath Magazine cover

Scholastic DynaMath - Includes exercises that help teach math, math articles that connect learning to the real world and interactive activities to get students excited about numbers. Recommended for grades 3-6. 

Scholastic MATH magazine cover

Scholastic MATH - Math magazine for general math students ages 12-16 and their teachers. Articles and activities focus on problem solving, math on the job, consumer math, and computation practice. 

Search Power

Because the UBC Library's system for classifying materials is aimed at organizing research and scholarship, searching for curriculum materials can be difficult. We recommend using the following terms for a targeted search within the library catalogue for K-12 teaching and learning resources.
