chinese women/women's studies

a guide in between academic and leisure purpose

introduction

Welcome! This ongoing creation of a LibGuide on Chinese women aims to address a gap in existing resources that meet students' and instructors' increasingly interdisciplinary and diverse needs. This guide offers a curated selection of books, films, databases, and articles in English and Chinese, together with highlights for users to get a glance at the field, combining both academic resources and leisure resources. It also attempts to incorporate external tools (Notion) to enhance user interaction and engagement.

The items listed are mainly UBC Library collections. Please get in touch with the creators through email if you have any questions or suggestions regarding this guide.

*For general resources regarding Chinese studies, please take a look at Chinese Studies Resources.

For example, a book with the subject "Women--China--History." likely discusses the roles, experiences, and contributions of women in Chinese history.
