Destination Vancouver, replacing Tourism Vancouver, has been around since June 25, 1902, when it was known as the Vancouver Information & Tourist Association. It is a business association representing approximately 1,000 members in tourism and related industries/activities and its purpose is to support Vancouver's tourism industry in developing their experiences and promoting the city in target Canadian, US, and international markets.
