You have to write a term paper on genetically modified foods. Where do you begin?
Before jumping straight into the research stage, take a few moments to think about the topic. Try asking a few basic questions: the Who, What, Why and How of your topic... for example:
- what particular aspect of the topic will you write about? (e.g. Let's assume you decide to investigate regulation regarding labeling of genetically modified foods.)
- who are the major players in this area?
- why is such labeling necessary?
- how are regulations formulated and applied?
