(NASDAQ: LULU) designs and sells yoga-inspired apparel under the lululemon athletica brand to the limber and athletically hip in more than 135 franchised and company-owned stores primarily located in North America. The balance of its locations are in Australia, where it operates through a joint venture. Lululemon athletica specializes in women's clothing designed for yoga, dance, and running but it provides men's apparel, as well. Third-party vendors in Taiwan and China manufacture its apparel, which is distributed from facilities in Vancouver and Washington. Founded in 1998 by Chairman Dennis "Chip" Wilson, lululemon athletica went public in 2007.
