Law - Increasing Impact of Research for Faculty & Graduate Students in Allard School of Law

Allard Research Commons (ARC)

Allard Research Commons(ARP) is the Law School’s institutional repository with the highest degree of support, so please make ARC your first stop. ARC can be used to post both published works (with permission from the publisher) and working papers. Papers can be posted to the ARC directly.

Step 1. Confirm that you have the permission to post your work.

  • If you are posting a published work, please contact your publisher directly to inquire about the permission to upload the paper to your open-source institutional repository. Once you have permission, proceed to Step 2.
  • If you are posting a working paper at any stage of its development, you can proceed to Step 2.

Step 2. Email your paper to the Allard Research Commons Administrator.

  • Aleksandar Petrovic is the ARC Administrator, and you can simply email him your published/working paper as a .pdf document (Word documents are also acceptable). For published works, please include the permission email from the publisher, or let Aleks know if permission was secured in some other way (such as via a publishing agreement).
  •  Elim Wong, Law Reference Librarian, is the second ARC administrator, and she will also add your work to the Allard Research Portal (ARP) on the Pure platform. Please note that your administrative assistant revises content at Peter A. Allard School of Law Profile, and you can ask your administrative assistant to update the Research and Publications link at your Peter A. Allard School of Law Profile.
  • Please email clean copies with no branding. Faculty members also have an option to open their own accounts with Allard Research Commons and upload their own works.
