UBC Library maintains a robust guide on how to find data and statistics to support multiple disciplines.
When trying to locate economic data and statistical sources, it is important to think about who would collect the data that you would like, this could be a government (at various levels), a non-governmental organization, an industry association, an academic researcher, and many others. Some data is freely available online, other data sets are licensed by UBC Library and require a login, and some data sets require additional access steps to ensure the security and privacy of the data. Librarians can help you to find data sources that are in line with your research questions.
