Study Rooms

Available for small or large group, study rooms must be booked in advance of use. Study rooms are available in both the Library and the Commons.

Connecting from Home

You'll need your Campus-wide Login (CWL) to login or borrow electronic resources from the library. 

You may now be required to use third-party authentication when using UBC resources. 

Borrowing from outside the Library

You can order materials from Vancouver using Document Delivery and from outside of UBC using InterLibrary Loan

Accessing Full-Text While Searching the Internet

You can set up access to Lean Library - an internet browser extension that will allow you to seamlessly navigate publisher websites and locate available full-text PDF's available to you through your UBC access.

  1. Seek help in the Library - and the services available.
  2. Select appropriate resources of use in Social Work practice and education. 
  3. Construct search strategies to locate literature. 
  4. Evaluate sources found for usefulness in assignments and in practice. 
  5. Organize findings using citation management tools.
