The Center for the History of Medicine and Public Health, which includes the Library, promotes the scholarly and public understanding of the history of medicine and public health and the history of the book. Established in 2012, the Center aims to build bridges among an interdisciplinary community of scholars, educators, clinicians, curatorial and conservation professionals, and the general public.
An Oral History of British Science, a National Life Stories project, began in November 2009 with funding from the Arcadia Trust. Its aim is to create a major archive for the study and public understanding of contemporary science in Britain through in-depth interviews with British Scientists.
AmericanScience began as "News and Views," with the sponsorship of the Forum for the History of Science in America (FHSA), an interest group within the History of Science Society. Now a team blog, AmericanScience features posts contributed by four early-career historians of science.
The Wellcome Trust supports research in medical history and humanities. We also publish the Wellcome History magazine three times a year, allowing members of the research community to share details of their latest work. This blog expands on the magazine, giving more people easier access to the articles and allowing you to join in the discussion.
