Please find your embedded counsellor within your faculty or program here. They can provide support for the mental health concerns commonly experienced by students in these programs.

Peer Supports

  • AMS Peer Support: One-on-one peer support is available for free to UBC students. Trained Peer Supporters are prepared to talk to you about academic stress, burnout, loneliness, depression, anxiety, substance use, mental health, relationship struggles, sexual violence, LGBTQ2S+ identity, grief and more.

  • UBC Student Recovery Community (SRC) for addiction recovery

If you self-identify as an Indigenous student, you can access counselling and community resources through the IMHW program.

  •  My Anxiety Plan (MAP) for Adults: Anxiety Canada: an anxiety management program based on Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT). Free course with 45 lectures. 
  •  BounceBack British Columbia: Canadian Mental Health Association: a program for stress, anxiety, depression, and low mood. There are 3 free options this program offers: telephone coaching, online modules and video resources.
