FLEX Project Support

Please see our FLEX guide for lots of information to help you get started on FLEX-related research.

Each year, the librarian team meets with many individual students/small groups to discuss FLEX projects. We typically meet via Zoom for up to an hour and the content of these sessions is entirely dependent on student interests/needs. We can help you find some background reading if you're just scoping your project, or review your draft search strategy with you. We can recommend databases and other information sources, including for projects that touch on subject areas outside of medicine, such as education, public administration, engineering, the arts, business, etc. Other frequent topics of discussion include framing a research question, literature review methods, strategies for documenting/organizing findings, citation management, critical appraisal, writing, and publishing/dissemination options. If we don't know the answer, we will do our best to direct you to someone who does. Please feel free to reach out to schedule a consult with us.
