Demographics
There are a variety of sources of demographics for Vancouver, Metro Vancouver and other BC municipalities and regions. For data and statistics on other municipalities (Burnaby, Richmond, etc.) check their city websites.
- BC StatsBC government statistics. Includes census data and profiles for BC municipalities and regional districts; population estimates and projections. Select "Census" or "Demography" under "Statistics by Subject" at the top.
- Canada Post. Residential and Business Counts and MapsCounts of houses, apartments, farms and businesses throughout Canada, along with associated Forward Sortation Area (FSA) and Letter Carrier Walk (LCW) maps.
- City of Vancouver. Census Local Area Profiles 2016Profiles for specific areas of Vancouver. Scroll down the page for links to the data in Excel.
- FP Markets. Canadian DemographicsAvailable in print only, in the David Lam Library. Data on population, income, retail sales, disposable income, occupations, schooling, language, community newspapers, etc.
