Created in alignment with the UBC Wellbeing Strategic Framework, this collection includes science-based books about wellbeing, information from Student Wellness, and a set of relaxing activities for use within the Library. The collection is located in the Fireplace Lounge area on the main floor of the Library.
The Okanagan Library participates annually in Thrive and Move UBC programming, and we welcome ideas for collaboration to support wellbeing on campus. In early 2022, the Library was awarded UBC Wellbeing Strategic Initiative Funds to support an indoor nature initiative which saw the installation of live plants and tree photos throughout our space.
Student Wellness is the hub for all health and wellbeing services on campus; from physicians and counsellors to the food pantry and spiritual and multi-faith space.
Activity boxes include puzzles, board games and colouring supplies. Use these within the Library anytime you want and destress! The photos below depict some of the puzzles from the activity boxes and two in use by students within the Library.
