This guide accompanies the library orientation session and offers a basic introduction to library research skills and tools for graduate students using Japanese language resources.

Welcome! This guide will help you get started with the research process involving Japanese language information sources. As such, it focuses on UBC library services, general Japanese language search techniques, and tips in getting the full text of resources.

This guide provides a wealth of information for Japan researchers, including the Online Guide to Research Access to Japanese Collections and Resources. This Research Access Guide helps you as you plan to conduct research in Japanese academic research institutions (museums, libraries, and archives). The Guide's added new focus is on research affiliation programs sponsored by a various academic communities or interest groups.
