Welcome! This guide will help you get started with the research process involving Japanese language information sources. As such, it focuses on UBC library services, general Japanese language search techniques, and tips in getting the full text of resources.

- North American Coordinating Council on Japanese Library Resources北米日本研究資料調整協議会 creates programs and online services to support the research needs of anyone in the field of Japanese Studies and for users with an interest in Japan, anywhere. The NCC site also provides links to instructional and topical sites related to Japan.
This guide provides a wealth of information for Japan researchers, including the Online Guide to Research Access to Japanese Collections and Resources. This Research Access Guide helps you as you plan to conduct research in Japanese academic research institutions (museums, libraries, and archives). The Guide's added new focus is on research affiliation programs sponsored by a various academic communities or interest groups.
