The Canadian Alliance of Physiotherapy Regulators is the national federation of provincial/territorial physiotherapy regulators committed to the development and improvement of regulatory standards of practice for physiotherapists.

British Columbian Associations

The CPTBC is the regulatory body for physiotherapists in British Columbia. It sets standards for entry into the profession, registers physical therapists, sets and enforces a set of rules that registrants must follow and develops programs to promote the highest standards of physical therapy practice.

The PABC provides services and support for member physiotherapists. It fosters excellence in practice, education & research, and inspires healthy lifestyles.

Licensing Examinations

Physiotherapy Competency Examination (PCE)

  • Written Component (Qualifying Exam): This multiple-choice written exam tests your understanding of the principles and processes of physiotherapy practice.
  • Clinical Component (Physiotherapy National Exam): This objective structured clinical exam (OSCE) tests your ability to safety and effectively apply the principles and processes of physiotherapy practice.
