Searching from the Library's Home Page

The Library website home page features a search box with 4 tabs:

  • General / Summon: General search.
  • Books and Media / Library Catalogue: Library catalogue search focusing on material held on-site.
  • Indexes and Databases: Search for databases and other services the Library subscribes to.
  • Journal Titles: Search for the titles of specific journals.

Finding Books

You can search for books using Summon.

  • Remember to refine your search by Content Type to Book / eBook and Book Chapter and if appropriate, by Publication Date.
  • To find a print book on the shelf, you will need the library location and call number.
  • Not all ebooks are the same. For some titles, you can download each individual chapter as a PDF. For others (e.g. on the ProQuest Ebook Central or EBSCO platforms), you can read the entire book online but only save a specific number of pages as a PDF.
