BC STATS - statistics from the official statistical agency in BC, including census data and profiles for BC municipalities and regional districts, as well as population estimates and projections. Select "Census" or "Population & Demographics" in the subject area list in the menu bar on the left
Canada Post. Householder Counts and Maps - includes counts of houses, apartments, farms and businesses throughout Canada, along with associated Forward Sortation Area (FSA) and Letter Carrier Walk (LCW) maps
City of Vancouver. Vancouver Statistics: Population, Housing, Employment & Transportation - includes 2006 census data (including local area statistics for specific Vancouver neighbourhoods), data on population trends and growth, age profiles, dwelling types and households and more
FP Markets. Canadian Demographics - available in print only, in the David Lam Library. Data on population, income, retail sales, disposable income, occupations, schooling, language, community newspapers, etc.
Metro Vancouver. Statistics - statistics for the region include population, education, employment and labour force, household and real estate. Most statistics are shown by municipality
Statistics Canada.
- Community Profiles - basic statistical profiles of Canadian communities (including cities, regional districts, provinces and territories) based on 2006 census data
- Profile for Canada, Provinces, Territories and Forward Sortation Areas, 2006 Census - basic profiles of specific areas in BC by first 3 digits of the post code
- Semi-custom Profile for the Local Areas of the City of Vancouver, 2006 Census - detailed statistics for areas of Vancouver (e.g. Kitsilano, Fairview, West End). Click on UBC member on the right for CWL login, then search for “2006 Semi Custom Profile”. Data can only be viewed using Beyond 20/20 software. Click here for instructions on how to download and use Beyond 20/20. Data can be downloaded to Excel.
