  • Canadian Economic Observer
    Monthly  pubication with information about current economic conditions; major economic events, including Bank of Canada changes to its key interest rate; Employment & Unemployment rates; Labour Markets; Prices; International Trade; GDP; Services; Financial Markets; and Provincial data. Ceased publication in 2012.


  • Consumer Price Index
    Produced monthly and contains analysis, charts and statistical tables illustrating the Consumer Price Index, major components and special aggregates for Canada, the Provinces & Territories - both seasonally adjusted and not seasonally adjusted. Major components include food, shelter, clothing, transportation, health care, recreation, education, alcohol and tobacco.

  • Market Research Handbook
    Profiles of key industries including the small business sector, as well as of consumers in all provinces and 45 major cities. International trade data and projections - of population, households, families and selected economic indicators, etc. - provide information for businesses seeking to expand or develop new product lines.

  • Business Dynamics in Canada
    Publication that shows the evolution of the Canadian business environment and the business and employment dynamics in Canada from 1991 to 2001. Includes statistics that show the impact of these changes on business creation and destruction, and examines survival rates of new businesses.
  • Canadian Industry Statistics (CIS)
    A resource that analyzes industry data on many economic indicators, using the most recent data from Statistics Canada.
  • Gross Domestic Product by Industry
    Contains monthly, quarterly, and annual estimates  of gross domestic product for 326 industries. Estimates are seasonally adjusted, in 1997 dollars, for 1997 to the most current period. Also includes analytical highlights.
