Community Borrower Cards
Community Borrower Cards are available for people who are unaffiliated with UBC
The Aboriginal Community Card is available for any self identified Aboriginal person living in Canada.
Open Access Databases and Online Resources
- UBC Databases that do not have license restrictions and are freely available
- Directory of Open Access Journals
- cIRcle Institutional Repository of materials created by UBC faculty, students and units, including all of the theses and dissertations (1918- to the present)
- UBC Library catalogue to the UBC Library holdings
- Summon a powerful search engine to the catalogue as well as other UBC Library resources. It is a finding aid to inventory but does not provide access to the licensed electronic resources.

Alumni Resources
UBC Library offers library cards, access to online resources, and other services to our alumni. Get more information and apply for your card!
- Basic reference assistance, access to online resources, and collections use and study are available to everyone in the libraries free of charge
- Remote access to EBSCO Academic Search and Business Source Alumni Editions
- Most books can be borrowed for 2 weeks and renewed as needed
