National Learn to Code Day

UBC Library is partnering with Ladies Learning Code for the National Learn to Code Day, and hosting a coding workshop Using Data to Solve Problems: An Introduction to Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning for Beginners.

During this workshop, you will be introduced to:

  • History of artificial intelligence and machine learning, what they mean, and why they matter
  • Strategies for collection, preparation, manipulation, and analysis of data
  • Machine learning models and predictive data

This workshop is designed for beginners, and everyone is welcome. There will be no formal fee for the workshop; it is by donation / "pay what you can". The catering of lunch and coffee is sponsored by UBC Woodward Library.
