The British Library has added over one million images to Flickr for using, remixing and repurposing. The images were taken from the pages of 17th, 18th and 19th century books and are in the public domain.
A number of libraries, museums, and archives from around the world have made some of their image collections available on Flickr. Includes materials from the Smithsonian, the Library of Congress, the McCord Museum, the National Maritime Museum, the National Archives of the Netherlands, and many more!
These 2.6 milion images, available on Flickr, are searchable and copyright free. The images are photos and drawings from more than 600 million library book page scans by the Internet Archive and made available by Kalev Leetar.
UBC Library Digital Collections represents many of the locally-created digital collections developed and maintained by the University of British Columbia Library. Collectively they document a diverse range of people and places, activities and events, and serve as a resource for students, historians, genealogists, and other researchers.
