: Systematic downloading or harvesting articles, citations, metadata (e.g. using citation managers such as EndNote or Zotero) is strictly prohibited. (You must contact email@example.com. Permission is required or a Text and Data Mining Package should be purchased.)
With the desktop version of EndNote, batch downloading of PDFs can violate the Library's license agreements for journals, which may lead to UBC IP addresses being blocked. Please avoid downloading large batches of articles - instead, use Find Full Text each time you import references.
EndNote is also available as a paid desktop application, which has additional features beyond what EndNote Basic offers. The newest version is X9. Please note that UBC does not have a site license for the desktop version of EndNote, and can offer only limited support. Contact EndNote technical support for more help.
EndNote Basic is available through the Web of Science database.
1. Proceed to Web of Science through the UBC Library website.
2. Select the Sign In tab from the menu at the top of the screen.
3. Click on Register from along the left side of the screen and follow the registration instructions as they appear.
You will be sent a confirmation email once you complete the registration process and will be able to sign through Web of Science or www.myendnoteweb.com.
